I have always been a procrastinator, how about you? I really like to make lists and plan trips and parties weeks, if not months in advance, but when it comes to homework or housework I wait until the last minute! Several times this has bitten me you know where, but the problem is that I seem to be convinced that I do my best work under pressure. I am continually impressed with the quality and speed I can bust out a ten page paper (back in the old college days) or clean my house top to bottom before company arrives. My husband has joked with me that it must be time to invite someone over because the house needs a good cleaning. Or he'll come home and see me cleaning like a mad woman and say, "Who's coming to dinner?" As a matter of fact, I have three papers due tomorrow night for my Early Education class and have I started on any of them? Oh no, I haven't! This does cause me some stress and anxiety, but I know it will all turn out all right. At least I hope it does! So instead of working on them, here I sit!
One area I am not a procrastinator is in planning trips. We recently found out we are going on a cruise with my parents for their 30th anniversary! Sooooo excited! I have already shopped for the clothes that everyone in the family needs, looked at recommendations for shore excursions in each of the four ports, learned about the ship and where to hang out on board, and many other tips about this cruiseline from past cruisers. (I LOVE the internet!) We have to get passports and I am defenitely not procrastinating on those either. The federal site says it takes 4-6 weeks to get them and I am not taking any chances with the government!! I am super excited about this trip and will be overplanned by the time we leave! Ha - I guess I don't procrastinate on the things I REALLY want to do!
Oh yes, I definitely am a procrastinator. Ack, it bites me in the ass sometimes too. ;) Have fun on your cruise! Sounds like a lot of fun!!
